MAKING THE GRADE:
PRACTICAL EXERCISES PARENTS CAN DO WITH THEIR CHILDREN TO RAISE
THEIR STANDARDIZED TEST SCORES
Making the Grade
Dr. Mayra Fernandez, noted educator and author,
has devised practical exercises that are fun and fundamental. These
exercises are based on the skills found on standardized tests.
An experienced educator will go to your school
or location at your convenience to give your parents and teachers a
workshop to help raise the students' standardized test scores. The workshops consist of interactive lessons on:
- Different ways
children learn
- How children's
brains work
- Communication skills
- Culture
- Exercises to do with the children based on all standardized
tests
Why are our workshops so successful? As
research has shown, parents are a crucial component for the success of
a school's educational
goals. Reinforcing in the home what the
students learn in the classroom is a guarantee of the children's
success.
There are several workshops from which to
choose. Workshops are given in either English, Spanish or
bilingually.
